Educational Farm Field Trips
Farm field trips have been a specialty of the Cagle family for at least 4 generations! We love farming and especially enjoy sharing the joy of our farm with school children in Cherokee, Pickens and surrounding counties of North Georgia. Our learning theme is the importance of agriculture in our daily lives — and we make learning fun!
Meet Farm Animals!
Students will see and be able to feed some of our resident farm animals, such as chickens, goats, calves and pigs! We share fun facts about each type of animal, their habits, what they eat and more. We also will demonstrate the roles that each of them play in our everyday lives.
Visit the Garden
We have raised garden beds where students can either (seasonally) plant seeds or help harvest a vegetable. It’s fun to learn how plants grow and also how important farm crops are in the food and fiber of our lives. Our garden grows corn, beets, carrots, onions, potatoes, herbs, beans, squash and more.
Take a Hayride
Our tractor-pulled hayride takes students to a pasture where Farmer Ben and his Border Collie, Oak, will round up cows and bring them to the wagon for folks to get an up-close view! Then we bump along over the hill and through the woods to see the sheep, and Oak will show-off his herding skills.
We’re now booking!
