An Indian invasion!

MayBelline

Hey Y’all!

This  is  MayBe-she’s-born-with-it,  MayBelline.

So  I  wanted  to  post  something  about  the new  neighbor we  have  in  the  barn.  He  just  moved  to the farm  a  few  days  ago  and  all  of  us  are  a  little  nervous  to  say  hello  to  him.  Let’s  just  say  he  doesn’t  look  like  any  farm  animal  we  have  ever  seen.

I  found  out  that  his  name  is  Hugh, and  he  is  an  Indian  Peacock. (Not like Apache, but like India.)  I  also  found  out  that  his tail  is  like  4  feet  long!  When  I  was  finished  chatting,  I  returned  home  to find  all  the  chicken hens  gathered  at his pen in the barn.

Hugh Peacock

Me  being  nosy again,  I  found  out  that  they  thought  Mr.  Hugh  was  quite  striking.  They  told  me  that  if  I  had  feathers,  I  would understand.  By  the  look  on  the  roosters beaks,  they  weren’t  too  fond  of  our  new feathered  neighbor.

I  know  that  I  will  have  to teach  him  some  things about how to live on a farm, but  you  know — we all  were  new  at  one  point!  (Think LAMB, instead of SHEEP)  Well, I  guess that  is  all  I  have  to  say  about  ”pretty boy”  Hugh  as  of  right  now.  I  will  keep  you updated  on  how  he is  handling  the pressures  of  farm  life.  Anywho, this  is MayBe-she’s-born-with-it,  MayBelline —– signing  out!

PS.  We think that Hugh is a dumb name for a peacock.  We thought (him being an Indian and all that) he shoulda been named Cocheeze.
